The sunset outdoors engagement shoot of Danie & Denise featured on Vivacious Weddings today. Their engagement story was quite different than the usual engagement story and definitely a must-read. Danie & Denise were together for six years. On Saturday, 8 June 2019 Danie asked Denise to marry him.
We love the outdoors, especially if it’s as pretty as this location. The open field and sunlight shining through the naked treats are breathtaking. The talented photographer, Leani Photography photographed this gorgeous couple’s engagement shoot.
Engagement Story:
I, Denise, was at home doing work late Saturday afternoon when he called me and told me to come and assist him to get his dad’s car to start. He instructed me to bring the jumper cables so that he would be able to start the car. He texted me the location and without suspicion, I went. The location took me to a back road where I found the cars standing in a row and when I got out of the car, our song started playing. He approached me from the front and got down on one knee, gave a beautiful speech and asked me to marry him. Obviously, I said yes!
Engagement Locations:
We got engaged in a back road where you could see the city of Bloemfontein in the background as the sun was setting behind us. The location was specifically chosen by him because of a big white cross on the other side of the road. It had religious significance for both of us. It was also not a busy road and the view was amazing with the sun setting over the city.
Engagement Ring:
He chose the engagement ring by himself, with some guidance beforehand of what I would like and it is a square halo round diamond engagement ring.
Wedding bells! Tell us more about your wedding day:
11 January 2020, which is the anniversary of our 7th year of dating. The perfect wedding would be in the summer, outside among nature, decorated by white roses/flowers. The venue would be nice if it could be in a big hall with fairy lights. Fresh white and green flowers on the tables and hanging from the ceiling. With good music, food, and drinks for our families to enjoy.
