The Story behind the wedding dress:
I followed Bridal Wardrobe on Instagram. When they posted their new range on Instagram, I immediately showed my mom the photo of my dress and told her that this is the one. We went straight to Bridal Wardrobe in Pretoria, I tried on the dress and just knew that that’s the one. It was my first and only dress.
Engagement Story:
It only took Hanro nine years to finally pop the question. He planed an amazing surprise picnic in the bush. A lie or two was told to keep it a perfect surprise! After celebrating the excitement of our new journey together, we joined our family for a five-course meal that leads to the perfect ending of a perfect day!

Wedding Colours and Decor Inspiration:
Our colors were green and copper with the effect of wood. We had a look at the venue and immediately thought of a rustic theme. Kaila has always been one for “less is more”. She wanted different shades of green leaves instead of a bunch of different colored flowers.
We followed through with the rustic theme from start to finish. Pinterest helped me with a few things as well! To be honest. We wanted minimalistic with a touch of elegance. The staff at Oranje Guest Farm did a fantastic job of making our whole wedding look like something that we dreamed of and more!
The Venue:
A wine farm wedding was always something we wanted. With the effect of mountains surrounding you. Or in the bush itself that gives you a bit of a rustic feeling. When we saw our venue on the website, we immediately fell in love with it. It gives you the best of both! AWe even paid a deposit before visiting the venue and we will do the same thing again!
