The story behind Lynn Shapiro Photography:
I’ve been in the photography game since 2018, I started with family shoots as that’s how I fell into it. My sister asked me to take a few photos of her and her boys and I immediately fell in love. It grew quickly from there and before I knew it I was fully booked and having the time of my life capturing special memories for amazing clients. My passion for photography grows daily and I feel so grateful to have found it.
If you were not a wedding photographer. What other jobs would you have loved? Why?
I have to be honest – this is my dream job. It incorporates so many things that I love – creativity, connecting with people, and being a part of their biggest life moments, freezing time for them in physical memories that can live on forever. All while getting to hang out regularly at the most joyous of occasions – weddings!
What makes Lynn Shapiro unique?
Each and every photographer has their own unique style they bring to their images and there are so many incredible photographers who inspire me every day. When a bride is choosing her photographer she needs to ensure that as well as loving their imagery, she also vibes with them as they will be spending the whole day with that person! Your wedding photos will become your heirlooms and I am dedicated to my role in documenting your day honestly and with heart. I’m all about connection, feeling, and capturing your love in an authentic way, all while having a good laugh.
Tips from Lynn about how to choose your wedding photographer?
Make sure you connect with both the work of a photographer as well as connect with them on a personal level. Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable and let your photographer know what your values as a couple are. I truly find that when my couples trust me and my process and just be themselves, we have the best time and I capture the best photos.
Printed Photographs. Are they still relevant?
Yes, x 1000. Print your photos. Frame them, get an album. Just print them, you won’t be sorry. We are lucky in this day and age to be able to store our images online for safekeeping, but there is truly nothing like looking through your wedding album every anniversary. Trust me I look through mine every year on our anniversary and it makes the day that much more special!
