Picturesque Lime Mine Elopement Inspiration

With great excitement, we feature this gorgeous Picturesque Lime Mine Elopement Inspiration on Vivacious Weddings.  Take a minute, or ten, to take in this gorgeous wedding inspiration photographed in South Africa at a Lime Mine in Benoni.  Absolutely gorgeous!  If you are a bride-to-be looking for inspiration for your elopement, then you are at the right place.  South Africa is a popular wedding destination for travellers from around the world.

The pretty pink and white floral designs by Bosskart Floral Design are stunning and work so well with the colour palette and backdrop of this wedding inspiration shoot.  Talented Gauteng based Wedding Photographer, PoemBox Creative photographed the scenery so well.  When a team of creatives team up, they create a magical elopement styled shoot, just like what you will see below.

Couples are still planning to get engaged in 2022 and this will be an ever-growing thing for couples to do.  It gives you the freedom to travel and get married wherever you want to.   Scroll down to get your load of elopement inspiration below.

The inspiration behind the photoshoot:

With COVID-19 consuming the wedding industry, we really wanted to do a session that celebrates a small and intimate elopement with just the couple.  We also really wanted to take some images at the Lime Mine in Benoni, so we made it happen.

I always wanted to take photos at lime formations, and I just never got the chance.  When I saw this venue, I immediately knew I wanted to organize an editorial session at the venue.  The lime mine made the most amazing and out of this world images, and I am extremely glad we decided to take the leap, to schedule a session here.

Floral Design:

Our mood board was filled with pretty pink & white floral images and our AMAZING floral designer (Bosskart Floral Design) wanted to add her spin to the perfect elopement bouquet & table arrangement.

We decided to opt for a white carnation & white spray rose bouquet and a beautifully arranged table floral with white & pink carnations & white spray roses.

We did not have a dedicated décor team.  I usually have loads of items in my house, that I use for editorial sessions.  The table was one of my display tables in my home. We added a beautiful soft tablecloth with some stunning plates made by Kreativ Krafts, and BAM, we had our table setup.  Then we also incorporated a Persian rug where the couple posed for a few photos.  We also arranged for a bohemian wooden arch that Made By Greene, supplied for us.

Wedding Gown:

I’ve been a fan of Nupt Bridal’s gowns for ages and saw that they had a bridal suite available.  The venue opened it up for us to experiment with new wedding/elopement ideas, and what is more different than a white bridal pants suit?  I asked Nupt Bridal if we can use the suit for the session, and they were very keen on being a part of this masterpiece.  For a few of the photos, we spiced up the pants suit look with one of Nupt bridals’ pearl bodices.

Mimie Bridal Atelier supplied us with a dress as well.

Advice to couples planning their wedding:

For being newly engaged myself, I just want to motivate engaged couples to not fear small and intimate elopements, because I really love the sentiment and speciality of an elopement and the true moments that it gives to the couple.  The day consists of the two of you, and what better way than to spend more time together on your wedding day.  Elopements make that possible.

Ultimately, it is all up to what you guys want and what your character and personality are as a couple.  Do not try to please people, make sure you guys are happy with your special day.
