Plum Blush Pink and Grey Countryside Wedding of Linique & GC

We feature a pretty Plum, Blush Pink and Grey Countryside Wedding with you today.   The spontaneous couple, Linique & GC got married at Florence Guest Farm in Chrissiesmeer, South-Africa.  Linique explained that she got her wedding inspiration from Pinterest and the winter landscapes of South-Africa.  If you are looking for an authentic countryside wedding, then this would be the one.

They used a color combination of plum, blush pink and greys which compliment each other very well. We love the stone walls of the venue and how they fit in with the more rustic feel of this lovely wedding.  They had loads of fun celebrating their special day with friends and family, dancing the night away!  After their wedding, they went on their honeymoon to Phuket, Thailand. What an experience! Sea, snorkeling, and shopping were what they did, explains the couple.

Enjoy this lovely wedding photographed by the talented, South-African Photographer, Alexis Muntz Photography.  For more wedding inspiration visit Vivacious Weddings.

Engagement Story:

GC planned a trip to Cape Town, as I have only been there once, as a toddler. On Sunday, 10 September 2017, we went to a few wine farms in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. One of the stops included the beautiful Mont Rochelle wine farm. After we set up our picnic on the lawn and took a few selfies, GC read me a very special letter. He then got down on one knee, asked THE question and I said yes! This all happening with a photographer capturing it all!

Wedding Dress:

I fitted on a lot of wedding dresses and nothing compared to the picture I had in mind. I decided to get my dress custom made. The day Jolandie drew me a picture of the dress I had in mind – I knew she envisioned what I wanted. The team at Jolache Bridal Couture was a wish-come-true team.

Favorite Wedding Memory:

GC: “Joh!… Linique in her white dress… smiling, laughing and dancing into the night, like my wife!”

Linique: “I have so many special and favorite memories. The day in itself was an endless favorite memory. My favorite memory of all!”

The story behind your wedding cake:

Our favorite is a Fudge Picasso slice of cake – so we did not want a traditional wedding cake. The best Fudge Picasso cake I have tasted before was from Chateau Gateaux. So we ordered their Fudge Picasso and Mousse Au Chocolat cake. There were no leftovers!

Advice to other couples planning their wedding:

The secret is in the word – planning! Make sure you stick to a timeline. Further than that – make choices together and really just enjoy the process.

The Venue:

‘Leave the best for last’ saying applied in our case! Florence Guest Farm was the last venue we went to visit before deciding on a venue. But we literally fell for all the bells and whistles! All the traditions at Florence Guest Farm are one in a million. The venue with all that it offers (the views, great staff, amazing food, big dancefloor, and spectacular accommodation) – ticks all the boxes.

Musical Choices:

We love to dance! We had a wide variety of songs and genres. Our wedding invitations included a space where guests could request a song for the wedding. These songs played throughout the wedding. Our first wedding dance song was Beautiful in White by Westlife. GC heard the song playing on the radio, before we were engaged, but requested it to be the first song we dance to as husband and wife.
