The Intimate Elopement Jonathan & Sarah at Lake Crescent, Washington

The Intimate Elopement Jonathan & Sarah at Lake Crescent in Washington.  Sarah and Jonathan tied the knot at an intimate elopement, on August 14th, 2020.  At Vivacious Weddings, we love elopements and see so many more couples doing it.  The world of weddings is changing fast.  Elopements and more intimate weddings are becoming more and more popular.  Especially couples that love traveling.  They will rather do a two-in-one combo!  Wedding and honeymoon at the same location.  This saves time and some dollars!

Sarah and Jonathan’s intimate Lake Cresent elopement is a great example of an amazing elopement.  We love that the couple is surrounded by nature.  Lake Cresent is located in Olympic National Park in Clallam County, Washington.   It’s not just a stunning landscape, but also has a special connection for Sarah and Jonathan.  They woke up early to have this lovely sunrise elopement, without having anyone in their photographs.  Brianna Parks, an amazing elopement wedding photographer based in California photographed this lovely elopement.  If you are planning to elope, get in touch with Brianna!

Sarah looked stunning in her gorgeous Lulus wedding dress.  We love the detail on the shoulders as well as the flowy feel of this beautiful wedding dress.  They made us of an Australian jeweler, HLSK for their wedding rings.   Scroll down to read more about the elopement of Jonathan & Sarah.

Wedding Rings:

Sarah’s ring is from HLSK, a jewelry shop in Australia. It’s super unique, and Sarah was the one who showed Jonathan the ring she wanted. I mean, don’t all girls do this? She absolutely loves it!

Proposal:

Sarah and Jonathan met in Hawaii. Sarah is originally from Oahu, and Jonathan was in Hawaii for work. They ended up meeting each other accidentally. When Sarah and Jonathan started talking, they quickly realized that they were both attending the University of Washington in Seattle.  They quickly realized they wanted to get married.  Jonathan surprised Sarah by taking her on a trip to Lake Crescent for the day where he decided to propose.

Location:

Sarah and Jonathan (and myself, Brianna) decided that Lake Crescent would be the perfect location. Not only is it a beautiful spot, but it’s extremely special to these two because that’s where Jonathan proposed.

Wedding colors:

We didn’t choose specific colors for the shoot. We wanted something neutral and timeless, hence why the bouquet was filled with white flowers and eucalyptus.

Favorite Memory of the wedding day:

Having a sunrise elopement. There wasn’t anybody at the location.  We were able to witness an absolutely beautiful alpenglow on the mountains behind us.

The Wedding Dress:

The dress is from Lulus. Sarah has a unique style, so we really wanted to showcase this with the dress, which is why we chose a dress that is not only timeless but unique to Sarah.

Advice for couples planning to elope:

Do something you’ve always wanted to do on your elopement day. It gives you a fun memory, and it’s an adventure. That’s how an elopement should be.
